Looks like OAS and Pompeo's interest were BOUGHT! Look at the services rendered language noted in the contract between Mercury agreed to provide to PPP/C:

"Consultant will provide strategic consulting and management services ("Services") specific to issues facing the Client in the areas of government relations and issues management. The Services shall include, but are not limited to, representing the Client before, and arranging meetings with the Executive Branch and the Congress of the United States, the Organization of American States, and think-tanks in connection with issues relating to the anticipated general and regional elections to take place in the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.

Consultant and Client will comply with the provisions of all federal, state, local and international laws, regulations, and requirements pertaining to the performance of Services under this contract."

This was planned from the very beginning!

This contract was dated since March 2019. Why would Jagdeo need to have bought the support of OAS, US Congress and the US Executive Branch a YEAR in advance?

Was he anticipating having to turn to these governmental bodies to back him if his party had lost? Surely, there would be no need for these political agencies and bodies to be invested if PPP/C had won the elections fair and square!

The writing is on the wall. PPP/C and Jagdeo anticipated a loss and was going to bring out the big guns to TRY and BULLY their way into government.

Yet PPP/C talks about "free and fair elections" and "democracy".

Yes, indeed. The truth shall (and did) prevail.

More to come, folks.

You would have save yourself some embarrassment if you had show up for work yesterday... read below, it was posted.

We note that there is some excitement in certain quarters over the publication of information that is part of the public records in U.S. This is no secret information since we had made it public. See the Kaieteur News article below.

PPP hires US firm to boost election campaign

Leader of the Opposition, Bharrat Jagdeo

The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) has hired a Washington-based global political lobbying firm, Mercury Public Affairs LLC, for consultative purposes. The firm will provide assistance to the party in preparation for Guyana’s next General and Regional Elections.
The contract, signed by PPP Executive Secretary, Zulfikar Mustapha, states that Mercury Public Affairs LLC will provide strategic consulting and management services to issues facing the client in the areas of government relations and issues management.
The contract is worth $31.4M, effective from March 5 to June 5, 2019. The date of signing for the contract, Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo said, was in anticipation of Guyana being faced by a constitutional crisis – the 90-day deadline set, if the No-Confidence motion had been passed on December 21, 2018.
Of the firm, Jagdeo reportedly said, “This is how American policy is shaped and the most effective way to counter APNU/AFC misrepresentation and deceit.”
The expected services include arranging meetings between the party’s executive branch and the Congress of the United States, the Organisation of American States, which links in connection with issues relating to the anticipated general and regional elections to take place in Guyana.
Mercury is a bipartisan political strategy and consulting firm that focuses on campaigns and political communications ranging from advocacy advertising to litigation communications to media and public relations.
It is known to have provided services for leading advocacy groups, governments, political parties, NGOs, and prominent public and political figures including US President Donald Trump. Several current and former members of Mercury had active roles within some of the presidential campaigns for the 2016 US election cycle.
Several of its officials have worked for deceased American politician John McCain, former New Jersey governor, Chris Christie, and former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.

@Rochelle The PNC has a history of rigging elections, 1968 to 1992 and possibly 2015 ( election petition still not heard). The PPPC used the services of Mercury to preempt the coalition from feeding the USA government with falsehoods. The coalition believes that the Guyanese people and the world are stupid. Their “ coup” will not survive.

Long Live Democracy.

Mercury did a fabulous job in carrying the PPP to a 4 seat victory in the 2020 election.  I hope Granger ask back El Toro for their money as that clumsy fool Mingo who they picked to rig the election made them look like fools in front of the whole world.

What 4 seat victory ? the real riggers will be exposed.

That is bullshit.  They had nothing to do with the election.  Why didn't we hear this before.   The US and OAS knew that the PNC was planning to rig the election.    The writings were on the wall. The Coalition didn't do their jobs, but instead they tried to get rid of the PPP leaders by threatening to put them behind bars.  During the last 5 years  the economy became stagnant because the Coalition didn't know how to stimulate the economy.   It's a shame that the Kakamootoo had to fight to become chairperson of Cabinet meetings.  That was his greatest achievement.  It's a shame that Harmon had to call him out on his ineptness.

The US was embarrassed after they installed the Coalition in 2015.   Yes!  Obama sent Jimmy Carter to do just that because of alleged crimes which were never proved.

Can you people have some decency and at least be civil in your postings?

The PPP won.  Get over it.

Good you recognize Obama’s role in 2015. And don’t forget JFK in the 1960s.  At least Clinton had some decency.

Ayuh khulies lucky Obama coalition not ruling America.  Ayuh would be licking ayuh wounds like Jagan did for over a generation.

Jefries (from Trump impeachment hearings) was recently out in full force batting for Granger and PNC's illegal acts. PPP and Indos would have been eating goat shyte if the Democrats were in office. Indos must thank Trump and Republicans for another 1,000 years.

Democrats overthrew PPP twice !!!

Guyanese in the USA need to start voting strategically.

Show where Coalition planned to rig the election ? apart from Mingo failed attempt to fudge numbers.

The propaganda started with Haitians ,campaign posing with Afro Guyanese ,get MERCURY to say APNU are riggers ,while they planned to do the rigging.

Facts can't be defeated.

Mingo was caught doing it.   Glad you accepted that.

Mercury saw what was happening to the Guyana People and acted on their own accord.    There was no development under the PNC. They planned a renewed National Service.  They packed the Government with the army officers.  As I said the writing were on the wall.

The reason why the PNC lost was because the PPP ran a better campaign and didn't take the People for granted. Even the blacks saw it and din't want a return the Burnham daze.

I am not going to try and convince you against your will. But I would advise you to see a doctor to treat your frustrations and stress.

The new Burnham is the fearless Indo leader.

Regarding your last paragraph , i am good don't need no doctor. Good genes and can handle anything.
