The AFC folks have not been in power where they could abuse and exploit it for self enrichment. The people you referred to are private citizens with thriving ligit businesses, nothing to do with Govt positions. Therefore, there is no reason for such a declaration.
The PPP folks, on the other hand, have grown from penny-pinchers to magnificent opulence beyond anything Guyana has ever seen. This does beg the question as to how they come to it. The PPP folks are entitled to a good and decent living, but some have gone beyond all limits, way beyond the wildest imagination of Dr CBJ or his wife.

Quit rattling nonsense. If the PPP were concerned with transparency we would have lots of systems facilitating the same across their administration. Instead the are driven by secrecy, backroom dealings and autocratic handling of our national assets. Indeed much of it is being transformed to private holdings under our noses with no paper work detailing the transaction as their cronies become fatted calves at our expense.
Why can they for example let us know what NICIL is doing with millions of US dollars with not a damn record being open for public scrutiny? Ramjattan has no obligation to the state except for taxes and compliance with its professional licenses. The same goes for Gerhard. The PPP on the other hand are administrators and not owners of our land. No business person would have his managers hiding their dealings supposedly on his behalf from him. The PPP have taken corrupt dealings to industrial levels. It has become what they do.

If there's any Member of Parliament that can be bought it is none other than the AFC's Khemraj Ramjattan who himself warned fellow party comrades of a plan by the ruling party to 'pay off' several MPs in order to secure their support of the 2012 Budget at a recent party confabulation. Ramjattan has always shown an inclination for making a quick dollar and it was this which led to his expulsion form the PPP. Whilst occupying a PPP seat in parliament Ramjattan sold several duty free concessions granted to him and was reprimanded for only representing drug dealers in the course of his private law practice.

What a pathetic fool. Had you read the court accounting you would know this client was ordered by the court to sell to settle an inheritance dispute. They can want a fixed price but if no one is buying at that whose fault is it? Further, they were represented gratis for years. Let them complain with the courts that ordered the sale of the property. The person with whom they had to divvy up assets were not displeased. They just expected more than existed.
