Do you think the people have figured out APNU now? Do you think that the supporters know that APNU using and abusing them to get political power for themselves not the people or the nation?

PNC only now realized these part of the constitution need revision/changes?

Has the PNC ever made any proposals, through the press or specifically in parliament, to make the changes?

IN 1992 Cheddi said that they would change the constitution.  22 years later it remains unchanged.  And the PPP NEVER complains about this.

Obviously the PPP is quite happy with the Burnham constitution.  As they are with the House of Israel, Kit Nascimento, Lumumba, McLean, and the other Burnham thugs.

At least the PNC used to pretend to have elections.  The PPP refuses to have them if they suspect that they mightn't win.

Yet again, the relevant changes of the constitution require the approval of about more than sixty percent of the MPs.

PPP/C has, for practical purposes, fifty percent of the votes, and never more than sixty percent since they came to power in 1992.

When has the PNC and AFC made any tangible presentation in parliament to achieve the amendments?

Tell you what.  After the 2006 election the PNC only had 34% of the seats.  The PPP and the UF had most of the rest, and I doubt that the AFC would have prevented a new constitution.

So if the PPP really abhorred the Burnham dictatorship the AG and others would have developed an alternate proposal.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PRIOR TO December 2011 NONE of the opposition parties had the power to bring any legislation to parliament, because the PPP blocked what they didn't want to be debated.

Its amazing how Guyana hasn't changed much.  In 1970 the PNC was the ruthless dictatorship which had no respect for democracy.  The PPP was the dumb opposition which let Burnham do what he wanted with barely a whimper.  The UF was a tiny party looking for relevancy,

Now 40 years later the PPP is the ruthless dictatorship which has no respect for democracy.  The PNC is the dumb opposition which lets the PPP do what they wish with barely a whimper.  And the AFC is a tiny party looking for relevancy.  All that is changed is who sits on what seat.
