When I was in Boston, I took the Duck Boat tour. I thought this would be great for Guyana. They use them in the wars and I am sure the GOG can source them easily or start up an industry to make them.
First things first, Mits! Like solving the flooding!
Yuh gun bild dem in wata?
The effects of global warming are being felt around the planet. Guyana cannot escape them. It seems like environmental "karma" .

They could build or assemble during the drought. There are only 2 seasons in Guyana.

The evidence is overwhelming--we have abused the planet and there is only so much it could take. Some scientists actually believe we have passed the point of no return. One wonders how many Guyanese, intoxicated with thoughts of oil money, see the link between fossil fuels and the floods they are experiencing.

That solves the problem of transportation! Why, you can even live in it! But, it looks like there might be only one season in the future! All wet! But we can also go back to living in the trees! Think of the advantage! We could confirm.the belief that we are inferior apes and can p down on tourists when they look.up.for confirmation!
Shally, they could learn from the Bajau People.
Can they live underwater and procreate?
Only if Bajun is flyin fish!

From what I've read it's not just about global warming when it comes to the recent increase in flooding in Guyana. Apparently when the dutch laid out the drainage system there is some land that should be left uncultivated. Not only have we cultivated the land (after giving it away to supporters of course), but we have built on it.
There are other measures that should be followed in our drainage system also, many of which have been ignored. The fools are tearing down their own homes with their own hands all in the name of greed. And the idiot PPP supporters are cheering the building of housing schemes on land which was meant to be left as is for drainage purposes.
When they dig the trenches or canals, they leave the silt on the parapets. When it rains, most of it gets washed back into the water ways. My guess is, there is no budget to haul away the garbage.
I understand that they are filling up trenches and canals to create housing areas.

I heard of brain drain in Guyana, but I never realized the extent of it. These people are beyond stupid. They just don't care about the environment they live in. They are demented. Probably brought on by greed.

That's the PPP's manifesto Rama always spoke of, Sheer Greed and Gross Stupidity.
I remember seeing on the news years ago, Quebec had a problem where a river was redirected apparently in order to build on the area. It took a while but the river retook its course and took out homes, land and all that was in its way. Mother Nature always wins.
Weather conditions have affected numerous countries this year with varied difficult conditions.
Some countries have flooding in many areas while some are experiencing the start of drought conditions.
In the US_of_A, there are drought conditions in numerous areas with the possibility of extremely low conditions. As the months progress many areas will be affected with significant reduction in the operation of hydroelectric power plant on the Colorado River which is a significant source of water to millions of residents in the US_of_A.

Perhaps you are completely unaware of the ownership and responsibilities on the use of water in Canada and the US_of_A.
