Severe flooding hits Georgetown
[www.inewsguyana.com] â Section of Georgetown is under severe flood waters as heavy rain continues across the country.
As a result of the continuous rain, the Ministry of Education has decided to close all schools in the city, as home owners grapple with the floods.
At present, Minister of Public Works, Robeson Benn and Local Government Minister, Norman Whittaker are out in the fields.
The Ministry of Education has since advised that all public schools in Georgetown will be closed today due to inclement weather and flooding in parts of the city.
