I notice Indians jump in the PPP defense for personal reasons when they see crocodile tears coming from a woman MP, who learned the ropes from crooks to fake her sorrow in public for sympathy. No one thinks about the backlash on the day after.

With all due respect you might have to swallow your words one day.  She might be president one day, food for thought.  There is a word called 'EMPATHY' - putting yourself in someone else's shoes.

Alena, anyone can be president of Guyana if he/she so chooses. I do have empathy for Ms. Manickchand, but I don't trade my emotions for dishonesty and lies. If she ever becomes president, please remind me to swallow my words. Until then, let's focus on the facts.

I wonder what would be Prince's response is someone wrongfully kicked and punched a female member of his family ? Will empathy be shown ?

Just asking.

You're asking this because someone was kicked and punched?

There were fifteen video cameras in Parliament recording the proceedings. The PPP has spent two days searching and they still cannot find evidence of a Phantom Cuff that Drama Queen Priya was crying about. Instead they saw PPP MP's assaulting a police officer while he was trying to do his job.

15 cameras mean zilch because the devious, dishonest PNC goons would have certainly disposed of the footage !

K

From the footage available, I could not see Priya being specifically targeted or directly hit.  It’s was a mele which she was part of.

i don’t know the rules regarding police jurisdiction inside parliament however, the seem to be there for that purpose.  Don’t blame the police, they followed orders as they should.

Preventing them is obstruction of justice and they will act accordingly.

This surely could have been handled better. Blame lies with the Speaker for summoning police and with those preventing the police from carrying out orders.  I believe the speaker should have exercised better judgment!

Poor Priya!!  But she should ah slap them hungry belly policeman and floor them.  She gatt critical mass rass!!

Well Alena, I don’t understand the context Empathy in this case.  Anyway, President!!   Well she have to get over that US ambassador cuss down in 2015.

I doubt the US wants this current crop of anti US PPP leaders to take control of an oil rich Guyana. Guyana oil fits within the strategic framework of US geopolitical interests. They will not allow anyone to toy with that.

Bibi should advise her toy-boy Jagdeo to that effect next time he comes calling!!

It's all over the news that MP Manickchand FAKED her ASSAULT. Today, she is all smiling in parliament. This sets a bad example for the PPP in troubled times.

MP Broome took up the RAPING suggestion seriously and its making waves in the news. Another blunder for the PPP.

I don't get the rape chant....

She was hoping. What a disusting person that woman is.

If she is disgusting what would say about Volda Lawrence and the brazen-faced Amna Ally?

The quality of Guyanese politicians-dem doan look like they can govern with class.

Lies, lies and more lies,

The President is a church going christian, doan he know that what ever happens in the dark duz come to the light, 18 million US$ dey want to hide. And ExxonMobile gave dem the cheque.

The government should keep in mind, ExxonMoblie got their deal from a PPP government and from all odds they will be the next government. I doan tink Exxon will disrespect Jagdeo-if any thing they will keep in the loop. It is the decent thing to do for accountability and transparency.

Seige,

you rooting early for the PPP.

 Granger take on the party.

Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo needs to address behavioural challenges among  his party’s parliamentarians as their actions in disrupting his speech to the National Assembly last month and last Monday’s ruckus in the House are disrespectful and vulgar, President David Granger says.

“I think that the treatment meted out to me on the 2nd of November was completely uncalled for and think the treatment meted out to the Speaker (on Monday)  is completely uncalled for and I think that the Leader of the Opposition needs to deal with these cultural issues in his party,” Granger said yesterday at State House after accepting letters of credence for a new envoy.
