The elections petition was filed and the Coalition is demanding an early hearing.  In light of the controversy surrounding the results this is a reasonable request.  Moreover, the petition(s) has an excellent chance of success.  This on on its own justifies an early hearing so as to prevent a party not elected fairly from holding power.  One of the recurring questions being asked by skeptics is about the Coalition's SOPs.  As has been pointed out by the Coalition's lawyers, the SOPs are irrelevant for the simple reason that they cannot possibly capture the irregularities being contested.  If people resident overseas were voted for by PPP agents or if dead people were similarly voted for those votes although illegal will be shown in the SOPs.  Evidence will be provided to the Court proving the aforementioned irregularities.  As I have stated previously, the Chief Elections Officer is expected to testify that the results of the elections do not reflect the will of electorate.  That will be powerful and likely clinch the case for the Coalition.

I entirely agree, Totaram. But as we both know, even the judiciary system is compromised by Jagdeo and his cabal. This is how civil wars are started. I'm at a loss for words at the current state of our country.

Girl relax!, PPP has been in power for a few weeks. How did the control the judiciary?  Have they appointed judges?

Civil war?  stop being melodramatic.

Hogwash. Why are the SOPs irrelevant?  Anyway, a professional substantive audit will resolve the matter. Maybe judge Rishi should rule for that and ask for Deloitte to conduct the audit.😁

I agree that the SOPs are irrelevant since they have been overtaken by the SORs. At some point during the court proceedings it will be asked how the recount became necessary and it will be posited by the PPP that the SOPs in Mingo's possession were so mutilated that they were totally worthless. I think that the PNC are aware of that so they think they are doing the right thing by suggesting that the SOPs are not relevant. But they are not the only ones who will be asking for discovery and if any of the cases since the NCM should have taught them is that they are always making the losing moves. They are here too but I m fine with it because it has been over a month since their last comedy show.

Other than that the Coalition has only jumbies to rely on.

I understand. But it’s the baseline starting point. Standard audit process. You start from the source. The SORs were a retake.  Each brings a context.

I understand the Coalition destroyed theirs but that cannot be ignored in the deliberations.

All is irrelevant. A substantive audit will be performed and the PNC case will be resolved and the current result will stand.

You can bet that the PPP will not ignore it. I think the PPP has had a field day embarrassing the Coalition the past 19 months and I don't think they will want to stop now. Nandlall is already gearing up for them. At some point those mutilated SOPs will make its appearances. If the PPP can get thousands of dead people to leave their graves and show up to vote, getting Mingo's mutilated SOPs will be like child's play for them.
