I have a brother that lives in Up State NY, I remember several years back he needed workers to do his landscaping, he would drive to the Bronx and bring a van load  of Latino immigrants, house ,feed them for a week and pay them min. wage, but they would work and hardly take a break. Some could speak enough English to get by,But where he lived he could not find workers to do the job, sure maybe all the Latino workers he got were illegals, but who cares, the job was completed in two weeks.

Someone does care, the US law!!!!!!

There are many legit landscaping outfits all over the USA.  Don't tell me he could not find in Upstate?  How does everyone get theirs done?  I'm sure they don't all come to the Bronx.  I often drive thru upstate NY on way to Canada and you see lots of landscaping trucks around.

Yes, he got illegals and paid them pittance, worked them like dogs, then they disappear back to the illegal miserable lives after.  I understand why you support illegal immigration.

I don't hire illegals.   I renovated two houses in NJ, all with legal Guyanese Black workers.  They worked 12-14 hours a day, got the job done and was paid a decent wage.  The company doing all landscape is an all white team from a legitimate LLC.

These Black Guyanese workers  that worked 12to14 hours per day , that's illegal, how do you know that they were legal, did you see their documents??? Working people 14 hours per day is exploitation .

This is no little property, 4,800 sq. ft. house on 3 acres lot to be landscaped. By the way he is a Trump supporter and he works for Trump organisation , so he learnt from the best. Isn't America the Mother of capitalism, getting to the top by stepping on the Small guys, you should know.

I don't even know where to start with this...it's so flawed.  Anyway, I'll take it in pieces:

Many people work double shift (16 Hrs).  Where did you get the idea that working such hours is illegal?  These guys were working on a project for a quoted fixed cost, so the faster they got it done, they made their money and could move to another project!  They made more money!

I know they are legal because, apart from knowing some of them, they own homes, have kids in school and all drive their own cars, I insisted the contractor had them all on Workmans Comp.  I insisted on this as did not want any liability for injuries. All were covered with basic and two were covered for climbing a 30 feet ladder.  This was part of the cost passed onto me through the Contractor bill.

It matters not the size of the property, 3, 30, 300...matters not.  An illegal worker is an illegal worker and it's against the law of the land!

Your definition of Capitalism seems very "Accra Bayish", 19 century Leninist or 20th Century Jaganist!  I believe you live in a Capitalist society too, Canada.   And no, Capitalism is not stepping on the weak and helpless (as illegals are).  Capitalism is constructively engaging workers in an enterprise where they contribute more than they take, as such profits are made which accrues to the enterprise "Capital" and grow the business, thus the term "Capitalism."

In todays world, you step on people, they move on and you lose talent. Illegals have no choice.  That's the type of Capitalism you just described!
