Albert, until a few years ago, I ate, sleep and dream of the PPP My mom went to school with Cheddi and I knew all the brothers and other relatives. My grandfather was Cheddi's father best friend.
Being serious Albert, the PPP USED to work hard for the ordinary folks of Guyana...something changed along the way...a parting occured and as we presently work with youth groups, they dont see a connection with the government.
Only this morning a couple from our youth group contacted us about wanting to get married in December, they both have low paying jobs miles apart from each other.
Friends will help with wedding cost, but one of them have to quit and find a job closer to the other.
Overseas organization fund their house, hydro wiring, etc...but their wage will be impossible to start a family.
They need help Albert and the GOG need to establish the atmosphere for this to happen.
There seems to be a serious disconnect between GT and the ordinary folks in Guyana. You can only see this if you live for a while among the poor in Guyana, as we do with our programs.
I respect your stand with the new PPP, I might seem harsh at times, but I get angry when I see the injustice done to innocent people.
