Keep the Justice Party out of this. This Party, although it lost the elections in 1964, never gave up on its principles.The voters decided not to vote for the JP and it's leader Balram Singh Rai respected the decision of the voters BUT he never sold his soul to anyone. He took his defeat with class and held his head high. Guyana would have been better off today had the Justice Party won that election. But Cheddi Jagan called Rai a racist stating that he only want to look after Indian rights. Note: The same man that he called a racist saved Jagans' life when the PNC people were going to kill him at his residence. The rest of the PPP had left town and went into hiding.
