Kszama I am not reading or following that topic but I managed to catch a tail wind of what someone said yesterday regarding the United States of America standing with Muslims in Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan and other places where other wealthy muslim nations do not have time to piss on these people.
There is a ton of merit in that point of view and it is something that should be explored.
We can only know what we are doing. There is no way for us to know what anyone else is doing and to suggest that we know for sure is being presumptuous.
I was listening to NPR this morning 7 out of 10 terrorist acts today are committed by muslims. We collectively have a problem here and this has to be fixed by muslims no one else can sort this out. Denying that muslims are committing these acts and ducking and skirting the issue brings out the worst in people and I suspect that is what you are seeing with Cain. I dont want to speak for these guys because as I said I have not read what they are saying and some of the stuff I see folks write I don't endorse.
But I am trying to be objective.
what I am saying is I think we have a problem here and it shouldn't be a pointing fingers exercise. Most of the time it devolves into that but I think there has to be an awakening by muslims to take ownership of their religion away from these nut cases that exist out there.
Indeed most of the terrorists acts are being committed by Muslims. I am not denying that. However, your hope that Muslims can rise up against these people is never going to happen. Unlike when Pope Urban commissioned and blessed the crusades, there are no Muslim organization that control the minds and lives of all Muslims. We have the keepers of Mecca and Medina but they are not blessing nor are they able to stop these activities. Marching down the street is a waste of time because if nothing else, it gives these people the publicity they need. If you think marching will help I am willing to hear your plan.
Muslims in my humble opinion should refuse to go to Mecca until the Saudi Government changes their policies, why do humans need to be beheaded in 2015 or limbs severed because they stole something? Seriously?

No Muslim will refuse to go to Mecca. Muslims believe that the kaaba was given to them by God and will not let whoever is running Saudi Arabia to alter their affinity to that city. Plus Muslims know how to compartmentalize. They don't dump everything into one bucket.
We are on one hand criticizing ISIS for beheading persons but SA gets a free pass on this bullshit why?
The free pass is coming from the West. They still need Saudi's oil and are willing to look the other way to satisfy their appetite. We destroyed Iraq and its 9000 years history because we didn't like them anymore but give Saudi a free pass. The day we don't need Saudi's oil, we will destroy it the same way. Now what does that say about us? See why I ask people to buy mirrors?
