People still need to follow the current constitution. If they think it needs revision, they should work towards doing so. Dual citizenship is currently a no no for MPs in Guyana. Why would anyone over 70 years old give up citizenship to a country that has quality National Healthcare and a generous old age pension to hang around in Guyana?

Because he knows that he can easily get away with lying to his gullible and tribal followers. Look how the fool is pleading with him that his country needs him. A man that failed miserably as Finance Minister. I strongly doubt he officially renounced his British citizenship. These PNC people are known for their dishonesty.
