You do know that in order to gauge how well an educational system is you don't look at how 20 kids do, many no doubt because of the thousands which their parents lavish on private lessons, but how the AVERAGE kid does.

Guyana AVERAGE CXC performance in English and Math is WAY BEHIND the performance of other nations which take that exam.  This isn't gloom and doom this is a FACT.  One which the NYC public schools are aware of when they see the deplorable state of many kids just arrived from Guyana.  Check with Una Clarke, a former city council person whose forte is education.

If 20 kids can do it, others can also. One can't buy learning. It comes from effort. Most who don't learn are mostly too lazy or irresponsible to do so. Just as one can't buy learning, they can't have it thrust on them so those who don't want to make the effort aren't going to get it. It is not like giving free food to lazy and irresponsible people. My cousin in Toronto just had her two cousins move from Guyana to go to college in Toronto. They were not rich in Guyana and even though they are not yet 17, they have already passed their CXC exams and have entered college in Toronto. So your nonsense is just that. Nonsense.
