Many Guyanese abroad really do care about what's going on in Guyana. They want Guyana to improve.  Some do projects to help in different areas.

Why did they change the rules in the first place?

I suggest:

1. Recognize dual citizenship.

2. Reduce the residency requirements for those Guyanese abroad to allow easier participation in elections as Candidates.

The parties should not only be interested in our campaign money.  They need to open the door and make it easier for us to serve in the Cabinet and in the public service.

We should lobby for these changes and if they don't change it, don't attend their fundraisers in North America and picket them when they come here.

absolutely no. If you have sworn allegiance to another state you have no right to participate in the elections of the state you renounced. It is just a matter of principle.
