Brazilian, Guyanese charged for stealing horses

Two Guyanese and a Brazilian were on Tuesday arrested after they were found with 15 horses in their possession that were reportedly stolen from a ranch at Manari, Central Rupununi.
According to information received about 12:00h on Tuesday, Police ranks attached to the Lethem Police Station acted on a tip and went to Manari Village where they arrested the three men.
The horses were reported missing by a businessman in the area and an investigation had been launched by the Police. The men are assisting with the investigation and are expected to be charged shortly.
Only recently, David Edwards, 52; Cleveland Edwards, 26, and Cleitus Edwards, 18, of Annai, North Rupununi were charged with stealing a cow. It was reported that the trio stole a cow valued $75,000 from Randolph Gilbert in the Annai Area.
