Chain-snatcher shot dead while robbing cop

An Albouystown man was shot dead at around 07.30hrs yesterday by a policeman he had allegedly tried to rob.
A police release stated that the policeman was walking along Robb Street when the suspect, Sherwin Monka, attacked him and took away his gold chain.
The rank, the holder of a licenced firearm, shot Monka who succumbed at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
The Police Office of Professional Responsibility is conducting investigations into the incident.
