Bandit grabs woman bag on Thomas Street
A 54-YEAR-OLD American citizen was robbed of her passport, driver’s license, cash and other valuables on Monday at Thomas Street between Middle and New Market Streets, Georgetown.
She was identified as the Vice Chairman of VXL Enterprise, located in Duke Street, Kingston, Georgetown.
Reports indicate that the American visited a bank on Camp Street to deposit money. She then left the bank heading to a lab on Thomas Street and was carrying her handbag across her shoulder containing valuables when she was confronted by the armed bandit.
The robber pointed a gun at her and snatched off her bag from her shoulder. He then joined a motor car HC 6238 which was parked on the western side of Thomas Street. The car then drove away south along Thomas Street making good their escape. Police are continuing their investigations.
