Guysuco should import cane harvest machinery if there is shortage of labor.
I'm surprised you said that! They did do a pilot and had major issues. The entire format of cane farming needs to change at enormous costs with questionable payback!
The overall unit costs will come down, but the unit forex input costs will go up rendering the overall benefit neutral, at best!

I am not aware they had a pilot project. My dad work in the sugar industry for 39 years. Will get some info on this and come back later.
