Anta, a good question to ask, but I an not sure who is "we". If you are referring to the people on this forum, then it is just a reflection of what is transpiring in the homeland. As long as each group continues to antagonize the other wherever they ascend to power, then you will not see this in your lifetime. Some may shout that people need to die off before this euphoria of yours comes to pass. However the reality on the ground in GY is that PNC purged Indos from jobs on ascending to the throne, and treated the Indo sugar workers as second class citizens. Similar claims have been made of the PPP.

If the "we" refers to the Guyanese public at large, as long people vote race rather than issues, then again they are back to square one.

So you're willing to encourage people to not vote race?

Did you mean utopia instead of euphoria?

utopia. Of course I prefer issues over race, and some do. But given the past sins of the PNC I would never support them, and now we see I am justified in this bias guven their race based governance and mismanagement of the economy.  But by large, the majority vote race. The PNC got elected on failed promises. Now we will see if the people fire them or stick to racial politics.
