“I am not Indian”

Some elections are won or lost on slogans. While I think Moses meant that he is Guyanese first, because no sane person will deny their heritage, it may turn out to be a big political blunder for making the statement “I am not Indian”. The PPP have used it as a rallying cry to circle the wagons.

If the PPP does end up winning the elections then I believe that the APNU/AFC need to have a post mortem anyway to make sure the same type of missteps do not occur in future. If the APNU does, indeed, lose then maybe only an AFC or Moses cultist may not see the damage done by the “I am not Indian” statement”.

The good thing for the APNU/AFC is that there are still a few days left to clarify that statement.
