Reply to "“I am not Indian”"

"I am not Indian" clarifies for those of us on the fence who have deep personal reservations about Moses Nagamootoo the unrepentant Marxist and Jaganite.

For this Coalition to work, we must have a strong Indian to sit with the PNC in Government. Moses is unfortunately not that strong Indian we need.

I support fully the idea of cross-ethnic alliances. I just want to send the right Indians to negotiate and represent Indians. Moses and the AFC crowd are not it. Only Dr. Ramayya would I trust.

Lastly, I can't emphasize how devastating the "I'm not Indian" comment has been to Moses. It reminded us all why we can't trust him. And instead of walking back the comment, he stayed silent. Qui tacet consentire videtur. His silence signifies consent. Moses didn't even attempt to try and allay the concerns of those of us likely to support him.

I do not begrudge the PNC representing Blacks and their interests. I'm just waiting for the Indians who can represent Indians in such a cross ethnic coalition.

The Coalition will not lose because Indians are racist. It will lose because Moses is hard headed and doesn't understand his role and what we need him to be in a PNC-dominated Government.
