Reply to "Insults on GNI - Public figures and Private posters"

If one has a thin skin one shouldn't enter politics.  The notion that some one should be banned for making comments about a public figure is absurd.

If this was about one GNI person making comments of another (some posters like Kari are public and others who are anonymous are known to others), then this is a different story.

NONE of us, even those are aren't anonymous, are public figures and so our rights to privacy ought be protected.  Ditto for well known personalities who aren't public.  I am sorry politicians, and well known journalists, don't have that protection, though of course their family members do.

But then this is a PPP dominated site.  All sorts of comments are made about Nagamootoo and Granger, and I am yet to see any one being banned. When some at Freedom House read GNI, then put pressure on the moderators to delete, ban, and erase.  I will add, especially when the poster is an Indian, because they then cannot tar and feather him with the "PNC" epithet.
