Dalits have the right to vote. These people are now using political power to improve their lives in the Indian society. They are getting educated and opting for some of the top jobs in India. Some years ago a Dalit became the Chief Justice of India. Discrimination is intolerable and inhumane and everything must be done to eradicate it. People should not be given the choice of conversion to make themselves feel liberated when they are still viewed as inferior. Constitutional Guarantees are necessary.
