Black Bush Polder is uncle Cheddi’s Baby. The pumps at Black Bush Polder have been in a broken down state for nearly a decade now. Minister Persaud under the advice of Region 6 Chairman, Zulfikar, have been wasting money by making band aid repairs to get the pumps to limp along.
Black Bush Polder is now flooded, the pumps are relatively dead and farmers will suffer losses of their rice, cash crops and livestock.
Rev, please tell us what has become of the money that was available under the IDB funded Agriculture Support Services Programme (ASSP) for the replacement of these derelict pumps?
Did the people in Black Bush Polder know prior to the last election that they were cheated out of these funds?
