Well, 2 persons referred to me as coolie but the tone..(n most likely intent) sounded very racist to me

i had an amerindian batch mate at UG n we were very close friends…

there was a dougla lady (half Indian mind you) at work n everyone knew she didnt like indians

she used to refer to my friend n I as ‘dat cooooolie wan n d buck’

the way she said these words made us cringe !! But everyone

the other was whn i worked in Grand Cayman ..this Jamaican lady used to call me 'cooolie’ n talk abt my skinny ankles…referring to them as ‘cooolie foot’ lol . I imagine that was how they spoke in Jamaica ..lol but i there were 5 other Jcan co-workers n none of then used the word ‘coolie’ ..they said East Indians
