You are looking at what is essentially a rigged election, where none of the current candidates offer an alternative to the present disastrous policy package of war, police state measures and continued bailout. I will stipulate here that Ron Paul objects to the war and the police state measures, but not to the package. If you don't abandon the bailout policy, you will get the war and police state measures whether you want them or not.
Wars in America have generally in the past been able to create jobs and jumpstart a dead economy.
This debate must continue. Wars are of two types:
Planned with an exit strategy and unplanned with no exit strategy.
Bush took the unplanned no exit strategy route with serious consequences. A wise president will choose an exit strategy.
I do see a war happening if the Republicans win. It will be planned, short and with an exit strategy. I personally do not support wars but this is a strategy a superpower uses to it's advantage.
Let the debate begin.
