My argument is that pointing where blacks have failed themselves is not being racist. No one here is calling any black terms like monkey. Some Indians are called Dalits. Is that racist? When confronted people like Iguana argues that Dalit is not used to identify Indians but is used to identify a certain characteristic in some Indian. If he is comfortable with his explanation, then he should be comfortable with labeling blacks as n igger as that word is not used to identify blacks but to identify a certain characteristic in blacks. Yet I don't see the moral polices asking for the use of the word Dalit to be sanctioned. The word n igger isn't used here but the one Dalit is proudly used by folks like Iguana.

Btw, blacks never voted against Burnham. Burnham rigger elections not to falsify black votes. They were to falsify Indian votes as PNC when they would have been PPP ones. I think you are attempting to rewrite history here.

Man get off this trip about black screwing themselves since that is just whitewash on a racist trope you are beginning to internalize.  Do you think Amerindians in Guyana are in the 70 percent poverty range because the did it to themselves? How about the 700 million Indians who survive on less than a dollar a day in India. Are they  slow in the head and responsible for their condition

Do you realize they are our kin, our ancestors?   Everywhere there has been poverty and despair the culprit  is a system that has the oppressed trapped. Indians in Guyana were for the large part untouchables in India for 6000 years. After one hundred years they emerged to be leaders in our  society and now they include you who definitely had untouchable ancestors given most Indian Muslim sought the inclusiveness of Islam to avoid caste in India. Do you know that many Africans alive today had a grand parent born in slavery? Do you realize the civil rights laws were a mere 60 years or so ago?

I do not need to explain why Indians vote race and black vote race in Guyana so that is irrelevant to the racism here. Every one is accountable to themselves

Again, the term  "dalit" is a commonly accepted and respectable phrase...no, it is  a phrase with a preferred status in India since it gives certain advantages to a group with that designation. The term was given to them by no one less than the father of modern India Ambedkar. He rejected the term ""harijan" given to the group by Gandhi.

I use the term to emphasize what is forgotten by those here who claim bigger craniums and greater fortitude and smarts that only a mere 200 years ago they escaped a 6000 year religious trap and not by using those claimed attributes but by chance.
