I do not know what is your point. The idea of genius failing in life etc is not forwarding the conclusion that the academics are do nothing wastrels. Alan Turing, died a lonely life but we exist in a free world because of his genius. We have computers in part due to him. we have cognitive silence and progress in AI because of him.
I do not know Billionaires are "Successful" in life. As the saying goes money cannot buy happiness. Doing what one does to the best of ones ability for as long as one so desire is the ground of happiness. You are one of those who are without purpose so thinks the world is without purpose.
