I have to agree with you. Civil right laws were enacted but in response, white cops, many of whom are racists, are on duty harassing black and other non-white youths and try to criminalize them at a young age thus encumbering their chances with a police record before they could graduate or even enter college.
The attitude of cops and the institutional racism here reminds me very much of Guyana under the PNC.
