Reply to "Sometimes doing business in Guyana is like pulling teeth"

There are indeed some unreasonable practices in the public service in Guyana. One unnecessary notice in a ministry was exposed in the press a while back, whereby women wearing sleeveless tops could not be attended to when they visited that ministry.

Last month I had to visit Service Ontario, a government department in Canada, to renew my health insurance card. In the queue were women in short pants and skimpy tops and all received courteous service, no questions asked.

The Exams Division in QC compound Georgetown ought to be reasonable with visitors like Ms A. Thomas.
