Neither do you. The people who matter are the 400k+ who will vote in 2020. And given how narrow the margin of victory was last time even you can understand that there is scant room for error this time. Volda erred. Hopefully appointing a man as mayor of GT who looks and sounds like many PPP supporters will reduce this mistake.
And yes to those who wailed about how inarticulate the mayor sounds I suggest that they listen to Jagdeo, who has been in office for two decades, but still speaks fractured English.
I wonder if Jagdeo screamed "I gun only hire PPP people" whether you would have not considered this racist.
Whether you wish to admit this or not "PNC" and "PPP" in Guyana are used as dog whistles with ethnic connotations. If a politician doesn't want this to ne interpreted as such then they shouldn't make such a silly statement.
