This picture breaks my heart.  It is a painful reminder of the separation of families and friends.  For many it was here they said goodbye , never to meet again.

I remember Timheri. There was a lounge where you could sit by the glass and watch your family or friends walk to the plane, waving and crying as they went. Then the stairs were removed, the doors closed and the plane taxied to the far end and came back at high speed and lifted off right in front of that lounge area.

Then the wailing started.

It was a sad place. Lots of tears from the parking lot all the way in. I had a cousin I played with as a child until we were 7 and she left for London. Never saw her again in life.
