KP, please do not confuse result with intent. Personal satisfaction is a result from the activity achieving its aim. The motivation to initiate or do something is another matter.

I think motivation is the force that leads to results.  Personal satisfaction is just the outcome of getting good results. There can be no greater personal satisfaction if it comes through good deeds by helping others.

Some are motivated by greed and do everything to increase their wealth even if it means leading a corrupt life.  This give them great personal satisfaction also, but this is personal satisfaction through greed and there are many out there.
