Which one? The parallel underground economy arising from the drug culture and graft or the supposedly real one where they laundered the cash by selling the duped population American used goods or seconds? The PPP's economy was an illusion fabricated completely on their industrial scale necrotizing corruption. Yes things looks good but under the curtain was nothing but the stench of a decaying society.
