Definitely. They are economically marginalized people who have a little power and that's to control the politics in southeast Queens. They aren't going to relinquish this, so for an Indo Caribbean person to win the district they have to convince these people that they have nothing to lose. A female candidate would also be better.
Maybe you all ought to go find an Indo Trinidadian candidate. They seem more adept at working with blacks than Indo Guyanese. I can think of two Indo Trini women who are always winning awards from blacks.
Indo Guyanese, even the ones who think that they aren't racist, have a problem with dealing with blacks. I cannot think of too many who are completed trusted by large numbers of blacks. Its just something that is transmitted. Indo Trinidadians don't have this problem to the same degree.
