I read this story on a news site and find the story very difficult to digest. The government should reward women for killing men instead of incarcerated them and their children. Sad, indeed.

Oregon 6 hours agoWhat sets apart countries like Afghanistan and America, is that in a civilized world we would not punish a child for the sins of the parent. Mrs. Gul does not deserve her freedom, but Meena does.
America will be no better than Afghanistan when they send children back to countries they have never known, because their parents made a decision to break the law. DACA children have earned the right to stay here, and I hope America is civilized enough to understand the differences here.
Unfortunately, with the rampant racism, and bigotry fueled by the current sitting president, I doubt America will do the RIGHT thing.
That is one real f'ed up law in Afghanistan. How the hell is Meena supposed to get the education that she can use when she gets out at 18?
