This is an indication that most of us who brought our families here have no one else to bring over. The tricklings you see coming over are people who have gone back and married Guyanese. So when people think that coolies are mass migrating, think again. Maybe the blacks have a chance now to mass migrate and they are doing so. Possibly !! looking at censuses the Afro- Guyanese percentages aren't high,  East Indians may be of a higher percentage. There are lots of data in the reports , number of non-immigrant entry in the US, Citizenship..etc.

Noticeably , the surge of migration started from 1970 after the 1968 elections was rigged. The highest is 1980 to 1989.

The back trackers and those who overstayed after entry are not listed.

All my family members came here legally before 1990. Guyanese Indians might be higher because we got here late 60s..like from 1968 through maybe 1975. The rest of the time was family sponsoring and reunion.
