Well clearly your famnily treats their workers worse than Bajan, StM, StK, TRini employers.  When a man packs his bags and leaves his country to flee to one scarcely better off than it shows how bad his country is.

When Bdos tossed out PPP supporters a few years back you screamed and cried about how racist Bajans were.  Now your family needs slaves to exploit you want them back.

How can menial workers take over any country.  And FYI Guyanese have not even taken over NYC much less the USA.  Richmond Hill doesnt count as the whiotes were already fleeing that part of town when you all began to move in.  You merely took what they no longer wanted.

Look at druggie.  He screams that guyana is about agriculture yet rants that it is cane cutters who are fleeing.  Oh well druggie Guyanese are flocking to Tdad and Bdos where they now account for the bulk of the agricultural workers.

You said that mining is not labor intensive any more.  So since when does it create jobs for Guyanese?  Also why do you think that a Guyanese should work in your gold field and catch malaria for the pittance which you pay.  Carrying water on some construction site in SXM is better for most as the pay will be more and living conditions better.  Plus they get paid in US$ and can carry back duty free items to sell.

I drummed this into your head many times, the weak who don't want to educate themselves or learn a skill will gravitate to low paying jobs in the Islands. Maybe this is good as it will cull out the weak. If only the hardcore pnc crooks do the same, but they have better options robbing Indos in Guyana.  When they go to the Islands they get gunshot up their rear, but in Guyana their fellow PNC operatives in the police hesitate to pull the trigger.

Guyana has many jobs in the construction boom as well as the mining sector. People not willing to update their skill sets will invariably seek out higher paying low skill jobs in the tourist industry around the Caribbean. Many of these folks left during the pre Jagdeo era before the PNC bandits were neutralized. Now progress in Guyana can not be stopped and there is more work than workers. The people just have to retool their skill sets.

Druggie there are large numbers of Guyanese teachers, nurses, managers, and highly skilled technicians living in the Caribbean.  Do you know that if all of the Guyanese working for LIAT left they would lose a huge % of their technicians.

Every one in Antigua knows about Captain Cameron who is one of LIATs senior pilots and who is instrumental in LIAT modernizing its fleet.

When St Lucian kids were asjked why they do so well, and yes druggie MORE St Lucian kids pass English/maths than Guyanese kids, they said it was because of their Guyanese teachers.  Yet when people ask why so few Guyanese kids do well....its the Guyanese teachers who are blamed.  Get the drift?

Guyanese are the LARGEST applicants for certification to work as skilled/professional workers in CARICOM than Jamaicans, the second largest group.  You do know that there are far more people living in Jamaica.

Large numbers of ALL CATEGORIES of Guyanese have fled to the Islands, which is why you are currently whining about being unable to find skilled Guyanese workers.

Druggie face it a PPP supporter, no matter how low skilled will do better in Bdos than in Guyana...even though the Bajans dont like them.  Indeed Guyanese of BOTH races are praised as workers in virtually every single island to which they flock.

Druggie what is left in Guyana are the DREGS!

Plus just the other day you were boasting that machines do most of the work in the gold fields, so clearly the jop opportunities do not exist to the extent that you boast.

And those who do go in the bush risk malaria and snake bites and possible death given the paucity of health care in those areas.

Please watch GOLD RUSH on Discovery channel and get back to me about why you think that some one should go to the bush instead of SXM.

I see I have to educate even more than I thought necessary.

If you took time to look at the data you will find that those skilled persons fled Guyana in pnc and pre Jagdeo time when mo fiah and slow fiah drove people out. But when your pnc friends were tamed with gunshots up their rear, stability returned to the nation and over time the economy expanded with Jagdeo at the helm. Now the demand is back for skilled persons, but the pnc supporters who fled under their own government will not return because they don't want to give credit to the Jagdeo era PPP.

In fact Guyana has at least a decade before it catches up to Bbados wages, especially with the mo fiah slow fiah crew dragging the country back one step for every 2 steps forward. You will note that Granger et al are stopping progress with their majority in parliament that will only be remedied by snap or general elections. Soon the pnc will score another victory as the country is certain to be black listed for not complying to the money laundering rules complements of the opposition majority in parliament.

With regard to gold mining, those jokers in Gold Rush are amateurs compared to the local gold producers. My little nephew put them to shame with all their investment as he produces 50 to 100 oz plus per week from his land and river operations.

He has vacancy for cooks, truck drivers, mechanics, welders and dredge operators.  Providing employment to 100's in Guyana, what can you say for yourself who just prattle nonsense about fields you know nothing about?

That is why they should either fully mechanize or close down the sugar industry. Govt has no business running industry. It should be a private venture, however Moses and Ramjattan voted for the Skeldon plant and now they try to distance themselves from that decision.

Druggie the migration of skilled Guyanese began under Burnham and continues today.  The CSME cerrtification and ability of professionals and skilled workers to get jobs any where in CARICOM only began recently.  Guyanese rushed to get it.  Indeed even the "Grenadians" on that countries list included Guyanese seeking to establish permanent residency there, or to move to another CARICOM country.  So cut your rant about what happened under Burnham.

And I very much doubt that most coastlanders, seeing Gold Rush, and seeing SXM will decide to find work in the bush.  Sorry malaria, snake bites and just plain hardship isnt what most aspire to, unless paid very well.

Just accept that fact and pay people MORE than they could get in Bdos and SXM and maybe you might fill vacancies.  Or content yourself with impoverished immigrants from Brazil's Amazon.

They are skonthole all of the PPP/C thinkers and economists they are thinking how they can thief more from Guysuco before they eventually close it down.

The free market will dictate wages as it always does. When wages rises to be on par with the rest of the Caribbean then people will be less likely to seek employment elsewhere. But don't go blaming the teachers only, much of the blame lies with the parents and the culture of slackness now pervasive among the youth due to prosperity. When life was hard in Guyana, students were more apt to hit the books and perform well, now that the economy is at breakneck speed and remittance money is sweetening the pie, the youth are not motivated. Its like your people on welfare, once they get a taste they no longer want to achieve. Notable is the pnc/afc's mantra of selling entitlement to the nation as in Linden and Agricola most recently.

This we can agree on, however I note you again leave the PPP rejects in the AFC out of the story, Ramjattan and Moses. Both these fellows support the current nationalization of Guysuco, only the pnc ketch sense and now call for its privatization.  This type of industry, to be competitive, must be devoid of govt or taxpayers influence.  Govt must not artificially workers wages by subsidizing to support a failing industry. Your claims of thievery is unsubstantiated by any fact.

And why are Guyanese kidssuddenly  lazier than Caribbean kids when historically that was NEVER the case?  Clearly its not that Guyana is that well off or why would they be taking off for every bit of coral rock, or volcanic peak?  These islands are struggling to survive as the toursits who do arrive are spending less and the oof shore financial sectors are almost gone as is sugar and bananas.

Yet Guyanese continue to flock there.  Basically every time some CARICOM country is talking about immigrants its Guyanese and Jamaicans to which they refer.  Like I said before Jamaica doesnt have gold, and is an over populated island, so whats Guyana's excuse?

As I noted and you agreed, gold in not easy work but the rewards are worth the effort. The many Guyanese who seek work in these Caribbean Islands take advantage of White run tourist industry. These jobs are easier than cutting cane, farming or gold mining.  Guyanese kids became lazy when the afc/pnc told them that they didn't have to work and they are entitled.
