What value are these degrees on the world scene? Are the universities accredited as per international standards?  Maybe django can make a resurgence by finally taking up his studies post high school.

Druggie Brazil is one of the largest economies in the world and yes its better universities are well recognized.

Are the"better universities" the ones tied to these "scholarships"? Or are you as usual shooting the breeze?

That should have been your question instead of displaying your ignorance about Brazil.

Do you know that more than 300 Brazilian jets flown by airlines like American and JetBlue fly around the North America?  If Brazilian engineering schools were not of international standards they wouldn't be using these planes.

Who is to say that the engineers were not educated in the US. This is normally what happens in 3rd world countries. But getting back to the discussion, are these scholarships to the accredited schools or not?

Djangy, it is not an insult. I would not be a bad idea for you to complete university even at your advanced age with one foot in the grave. It could be a retirement pursuit, think of the benefits, you would no longer feel lacking in the intellectual arena. Then I would have to bow down to you.

You will have all the time in the world when you retire. Time to put your brain to work for a change, it will help to get the stench of the slop can from your nostrils. Think about it as therapy, unless your head too hard to pursue a BA.

Druggie had many close encounters in a previous occupation as a blue collar worker like django. A capacitor is childs play compared to other hazmat. The difference is that druggie lift himself up and continued his education post blue collar.  I am encouraging djangy to do the same but it looks like de bai head hard.

Keep dreaming day and night about druggie's accomplishments, fortunately help desk is not one of them.  Just the other day a colleague from a different fortune 500 company informed druggie that he encountered druggies code from 1999, almost 18 years ago.

This is why he discredits everyone and everything.  With his rank Creolese accent though they aren't going to have him on the help desk too long as UBS clients are complaining about this person who doesn't speak English, and so is unable to communicate with them.

Druggie has left a legacy behind in the form of code, maybe it will be still be there in the next century, who knows.  What can you say for yourself, you left behind a trail of fake news with your fake survey you reference to try to belittle Indians.

No they weren't.  In fact most engineers in India and China are locally trained. As is also true with South Korea.

Druggie you know not of what you talk so cease.

Lies, where is the evidence of this? Look around the US and CA and note the # of foreign students seeking degrees. Chinese, Indians, Koreans. In fact a university education in the US is a significant export.

According to the Institute of International Education and U.S. Dept. of State, there now there were around 720,000 international students at U.S. colleges in the 2011 academic year. They estimate that these students contribute $21 billion to the economy through tuition and spending.

South Korea graduates 147k engineers annually.  The USA 237k. When you compare the sizes of these countries you will concede that South Korea is ahead.  It is a much smaller economy.   I very much doubt that South Korea is dependent on USA to train its engineers.

Also when you cite sources ensure that they back your claim.  This says international students, which includes those in undergrad courses studying who knows what.

The USA has an economy 12X the south of South Korea's, yet doesn't even produce double the engineers.  It is quite clear then that SK trains almost all of those that it needs and likely also trains others coming from other Asian countries.

You use the word engineer very loosely. In south Korea, an engineer is also a person who pick up the garbage. They call then sanitary engineers. Maybe you too have a similar degree from south Korea.

He is legacy alright.  He is dinosaur in IT. Based on his linkedin, profile his skills listed are IBM mainframe, CICS, JCL, COBOL programming. This outdated and very old technology and architecture that exists mainly in financial institutions, supporting legacy applications..This guy is dated no one programs in COBOL. It is not inthe top 50 programming languages used. His most senior title Software Engineer which a low level tech title, Unix system adminis have this title. There is no Director, VP,  SVP or CIO titles listed. Yet he brags about being a legendary coder and Ut guru. He is not and this is based on his own words.  Beware of false prophets.

Now I see why Korean engineers collect garbage and the Guyanese woman who led the kids to a strong performance in the international robotics competition was so criticized by druggie.

Listen people might have had valid reasons why things didn't go their way as this is a "dog eat dog" world so I am not going to stigmatize druggie's less than sterling career. Maybe the white boys didn't like him because he isn't one of them and the Asian Indians similarly excluded him, so all he has left is help desk.

Bad things happen to good people.  But when a man like druggie consistently is derisive to others, ridiculing and attempting to humiliate them that is where I lose sympathy.
