I think he underestimated the challenges of the Presidency and is now asking himself, "what the hell did I get myself into?"

Naa Granger will be ok i have confidence he will move the country foward.

I am watching the last parliamentary debate, thanks to modern technology.

Then you had confidence Hitler would have brought the World together in Peace and Harmony.  Keep hope alive!!!!

Where lofty election promises are concerned, President Granger is in good company.

Before 1992, Opposition Leader Cheddi Jagan attacked the International Monetary Fund [IMF] and Burnham's 1980 Constitution and promised to do away with "IMF diktat" and LFSB's "dictatorial constitution." When he became President, Jagan himself accepted IMF conditions to manage the economy. And he kept the Burnham Constitution without changing a word in the Articles on presidential powers.

Recently in Canada, Justin Trudeau campaigned on a big election promise to legalize marijuana. Even our resident Brahmin yuji22 was posting pictures with the slogan LEGALIZE IT. Well, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is now finding out that it is not easy. Canada is a signatory to three international treaties that criminalize the use and pushing of marijuana. PM Justin has to either withdraw Canada from those treaties and face the consequences, or he could re-negotiate and find a way to get around them by just a partial legalization.

Anyway, we are all adults here and, regardless of what political party we support, we can agree that generally politicians are an untrustworthy breed of humans.

Granger will muddle along just like Ramoutar for the next 5 years squatting in office, doing nothing to change the chafe of the Guyanese public. This is what you get for putting an army man with no knowledge of economics to run a nation. Not that Ramoutar did any better. We knew all along that the Granger et al had no economic or development plan for moving the nation forward. They ran on a platform of disenchantment of incumbent government who had been in power way too long (23 years).
