"I do not believe that just because you're opposed to abortion that that makes you pro-life. In fact, I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed. And why would I think that you don't? Because you don't want any tax money to go there. That's not pro-life. That's pro-birth. We need a much broader conversation on what the morality of pro-life is."

The issue of abortion is a really tough one to comprehend. Prior to me becoming a parent, I would have never bothered about the elements of abortion. Now that I am a parent who spends much of his 20 plus waking hours being concerned about the safety of my two kids, I find it difficult to reconcile what goes into effecting an abortion. The thought of just ripping a baby out of its womb regardless of what stage it is in is incomprehensible. Given that human enjoys sex, I would opt for us men shooting blanks versus women having to go through with an abortion. That said, it is not my place to tell others what they should do. I also find the nun's citation very accurate especially as a criticism to the many anti-abortionists who seem less concerned with the livelihood of the child than they are about the birth of that child. A gross distortion that anti-abortionists make is that their opposites are pro-abortionists when in fact they are really pro-choice.
Prashad believe that there should only be abortion in case of rape or if the pregnancy will harm the mother's life.
Ditto!
I was gonna say, "or if both parents rale rale ugly" but the other day I made a promise not to speak ill of people so I won't.

Fortunately for Prashad, he will never have to experience bearing a child for whatever reason.
