Actually the Backdam is very diverse, active and lively. In fact more US politics is discussed there than Guyanese one so it doesn't have the racial undertone that comes with Guyana's politics. There are 8 forums and almost all of them are utilized so there is definitely much more going on there. Honestly I get nothing useful here but I drop by every now and then hoping that the few diabolical posters would improve their content level but so far no mas. They seem incapable or unwilling to wrest themselves of their prolonged misery. The Backdam does not have silly rules, threats and intimidation so people are much more free to express themselves and when people don't feel their freedom being threatened they tend to be less combative and more friendly. Hopefully this answers your inquiries.

And none of this is on the Admin. It is on the few miserable posters who encourage him implement rules and regulations that are killing the forum. But they don't care because when he does those things they feel satisfied because his actions affect another poster they can't deal with themselves. The forum would be better off if they were no longer on it or if they were to find a way to stop harassing other posters personally.

See what I say. One of the biggest troublemakers ever on this forum suggesting that Django bans the last few posters here. I rest my case.

Illum, that site is quite new give it time, there is no way everyone will get along forever but for Ray's sake I hope it stays good.

GNI has been my home since '99, I've seen worse fights... loving up.... jokes, name it I've seen it. It was due to fights I kept myself to Social, Music and Health forums where I felt most comfortable.  I do not intend to partake in any of the bullshit seen recently, it does the body no good.

Why keep bothering about this forum, you got promoted to Admin at the Backdam ,manage how you want and good luck to you.

Do yo hear any daily comments from myself about the Backdam. This forum have rules  years ago ,it wont be changed to suit a few posters ,who wants to do their own thing. I know who are creating disruptions and can take care of it.

I received a personal invitation from Ray to join Backdam, but I declined and decided to stay here.

I visited briefly once and I did not like what was posted, so I did not return.

I believe Ray allows GCDF name calling on Backdam, because of his post count. But we all know the danger of allowing posters to do as they would like. GNI at one time was like Backdam and when it changed hands, it was difficult to clean the nasty posts. Because some posters saw it as the norm and did not want to follow the rules.

I agree the best way to deal with things posted on Backdam about  GCDF, is not to bring it over here. Let them wallow on it there  and since we cannot control what others post, ignore it.

If it becomes a legal matter, it can be dealt with as others have done recently. Similar to my intellectual property rights infringement that was taken to the courts, there are legal limits that should not be crossed. If you know of any personal infringement, document it.  Ask Backdam admin to remove it and even if they don't act or reply, document this too.

I believe GCDF will remain a healthy forum to attract new members, as long as the rules continue to be followed.         

Please Guys/Ladies/ In betweens, please let's try to refrain from any silly chatter that can provoke others.

This forum moved from 185 to 249 members since June ,lots of visitors are here.

Recently for a few days in this month there was a glitch when the software was updated ,hence the drop in visitors ,it's fixed and back to normal.

I recommend that any further negative post or comment regarding the Backdam Forum on this site be deleted. Also, a new rule be drafted that no negative comment about another forum be tolerated. [If its not already a rule].

My above comments can be modified, as required by the Administrator.   

Actually there aren't regular occurrences ,honestly i agree there should not be any negative comments of discussions what's happening there.

GNI / GCDF existed for about 25 years and will continue for a long time.

While there are occasional "bumps" and "fighting" it is fun to see such happenings which also are quickly put to a stop.

Thanks for your observation ,take care of the Backdam and security of the site to see who are prowling ,also give members the authority to post private peoples names on the forum,attack private people who are not there to defend themselves. Some day a cease and desist will visit the owners.

I have competitors in business ,we don't bad mouth each other ,most times we help each other out when it's needed .We don't care who are Republicans or Democrats , take a cue how mature people carry themselves.

You always post here as holier than holy on  a pedestal and feels you are better than anyone else.  Now that you are management at the other forum, what the hell are you still doing here ?  Like others, you show up every now and again, spew your garbage and leave. Maybe your rotten attitude is enough for you to be banned, as recommended.

You are a failure at the other forum for allowing  personal information to be posted  and discussion of others, when they are not available to defend themselves. But that is no different when no respect or credibility exists on a discussion forum.

I can't fathom the big fuss with a few members who belong to both forums. They show up here make a few post ,then go to the other forum bad mouthing this forum.

The Admin of this forum lives rent free in the head of former disgruntled member whose Gold Card is not worthy ,hence the bitterness daily . I have voluntary given up a Gold Card ,there are many in possession that comes in handy when ever needed. That fool trying all forms to cause harm to the Admin ,by disclosing personal information ,I have copies of the breach .Little does he knows there are lots of contacts in country in the Government and influential private people ,some are relatives. I am semi-retired and enjoying life ,no dependents to worry about.

The forum members are known ,and will decide what should be done.  This Forum will LIVE ,as stated many times. This will be my last response on the topic.

I went this morning early and voted. We have early voting here starting at 7:00 am, a week before the election. I got there an hour early and was the first one in line. After I got out the line was about a quarter-mile long. I went there yesterday at about 7:15 and the line was about a quarter-mile long also. All democrats down the line.

It will be bad times ahead "if" the idiot won this election. He is fighting like rass because he knows soon as he loses its nuff nuff charges in 'e skites.

In every election I voted in Canada I waited no more than five mins.
