I'm happy with the result as a human being who believes in people living their own lives without the excessive and unnecessary interference of others.

However, I know bad law when I see it. This ruling bases the conclusion on the ill defined and often abused "due process" clause of the fifteenth amendment. Basically, this is made up law. If you can make this up then you can make up practically anything.

I really don't care what they do to themselves but I am very opposed to them adopting or having "surrogate" kids. 

How about when they teach your grandchildren in Kindergarten that Heather has 2 mommies and the teacher reads "King and King" to them in class about 2 princes marrying?  You would be OK with that.  They have been doing that already.

 

What will you tell grandchildren when they see the vulgar gay scenes on TV? How will you explain that to your pre-K child or grandchild.  This is our wickedness what they did today.

I don't agree with this too.  Like I said I don't care if they marry and have social benefits but it should stop there.  Obviously the laws that are passed allow them full rights such as having kids which makes me sick.

I invite you two saltwater Yankees to take a read of the Fourteenth Amendment. The Equal Protection Clause guarantees equal protection of the law for all Americans.

The word "marriage" may not be there but if the right to marry is a fundamental right then everyone enjoys said right equally and may not be deprived of it without Due Process.

In other words, a gay person is entitled to be treated the same as a straight person.

If you lot are against gay marriage, do what I do. Don't marry gay people! It really is that simple.

I have seen some heterosexuals with children and wonder why were they ever given the power to procreate.

People are genetically predisposed when it comes to sexuality. I don't think straight people get "converted" to being gay. And vice versa.
