Flower boy inanities

Linden lies

This week, AFC’s Flower Boy, Ramsaroop penned the weekly column provided for free by the Muckraker. Readers would recollect that the Ramsaroops, old line PPPites, defected when their demand for more land to extend their horticultural (flower growing) business was refused by the government. And Ramsaroop has the temerity to talk about corruption!!
Anyhow, Ramsaroop weighed in once again on the Linden electricity subsidy. The AFC will not let go of this one – they believe they are hitting both the PPP and AFNU where it hurts. Both those parties had initially agreed that after $37 billion of government subsidy for electricity since 2006, the facility was being abused by Lindeners and should be gradually phased out.
Ramjattan and Nagamootoo immediately ran down to Linden and screamed the PPP was being “racist” and “spiteful” while APNU was ‘selling out”. It’s not ironic that the so-called ‘multi-racial’ AFC injected race into what was an eminently economic decision – their tactic exposes their opportunistic stance on the race question. We predict they’ll continue to exploit the race card – after forcing APNU to renege on their original promise.
Ramsaroop played to the Linden (and wider African-Guyanese) gallery in his column, while tossing in some new provocative lies. He claims that the bauxite industry was “allowed to decline by both the PNC and PPP”!!! Even Lincoln the Lout accepted that by 1992, the bauxite industry inherited by the PPP was already on life support: the government was already subsidising it to the hilt.
Flower Boy goes on about the government ‘giving’ the power plant at Linden to Bosai. Has he been sniffing too many flowers and forgotten it was Cambior that sold the company to BOSAI? Has he looked at the concessions that say, Jamaica has had to make to keep its bauxite industry afloat?  What a wanker!!
Ramsaroop promises they’ll continue to rile up Linden until the government develops “200,000 hectares of intermediate savannahs” for agriculture.  This is about all the land under rice and sugar on the coast!! Also sourcing FDI investment for an ‘alumina plant”. They’ve forgotten that BOSAI has already committed to one? But since that’s totally dependent on world demand – which has been depressed since 2008 and shows no sign of changing – looks like the AFC will be agitating for a long time.
As to their tactics, in a Freudian slip they “urge(d) the PPP immediately desist from engaging in divisive politics, including playing the race card.” Taking their doo-doo and daubing it on the PPP’s behind!!

When all the political machinations are over it is the people of LINDEN who will suffer as the parasites will simply find other preys. Imagine the people in that community are being sold the idea that they are too dispossessed to pay GY$5 or $6 per kilowatt for electricity even as the rest of Guyana pays $65

FM

I think even the APNU has demonstrated some degree of maturity on this.  Clearly they understand the principles involved as they were once in Govt.  The PNC dropped subsidies on domestic products such as sugar which increased the price to all Guyanese.  They clearly understand, there is no place for unbridled subsidy and the GoG should not be involved.

This lose-cannon approach by the AFC will bear no fruit, just deliver ganda-eggs.

Where was this kind of consideration when they were seeking campaign contributions from these 'marginalized' people?

He's also admitting that Linden is the only such marginalized community in Guyana

The mendacity and corrupt poison pen practices will not mask your naked bias and misuse of state assets to peddle your filth. Address th e damn salient points of the political dispute without pretending you can cull political points by including an assault on the character of the person highlighting the problem.

When will you creeps ever get the courage to open the books of NICIL or NBS or NIS. That will come and then the real crookedness will be revealed so these trolling for carrion wont help you.

Now get the courage to address the issues rather than hide behind the skirts of Kwame and MIsir and misuse our nations funds by posting here when you ought to be about the nations business...but I guess you are since you think the nations business is PPPinc.

Last I checked when I was recently there, Linden was doing better than Buxton, and Buxton pays their fair share.  So why not Linden!!

FM

how the hell you can compare linden with buxton, linden is a town that depend on itself for employment where as buxton have the whole of demerara come on stop being a ppp for a while and start being a human with a little brain

But they are worse off than Linden.  The argument for Linden was "economic deprivation".  Why should our poor bros of Buxton be called upon to subsidize their wealthier brethren of Linden.  Sounds like a "no-brainer" to me!!!

Didn't the people of Guyana "carry" the bauxite industry for some time.  But that's besides the point, you starting to sound like Gerhard Ramsaroop.

Absolutely, so who ever instigated them rather than a counter proposal bear responsibility.  Not sure why people put them up to this as the argument is flimsy.

People who organize a protest are responsible for the deaths of the protesters? What about the trigger happy police and the administration that controls them? No responsibility on their part? Your head is really screwed on wrong.
