Earlier in the year, AFC politician Gerhard Ramsaroop was caught stalking several girls on social media websites namely Facebook and Twitter.
He fabricated an excuse saying "the girls are spreading slander about AFC" and playing the victim as he posted their profile pictures and shared their profile links on his Facebook Page wall.
Gerhard Ramsaroop's wife Michelle Heeralall Ramsaroop colluded with Gerhard, also playing the victim as she shared links of young teenage girls from America and England under the guise of "exposing PPP/C trolls".
A police report was filed to the CID headquarters as one of the girls was on vacation in Guyana when she was informed that her profile was being stalked by Gerhard Ramsaroop. The police were unable to investigate further as Gerhard Ramsaroop already deleted the link from his Facebook wall.
The stalking of women and victimisation of women committed by Gerhard Ramsaroop should not be condoned.
Another opposition politician Mr. Christopher Ram was alleged to have beaten his wife before divorce and several former female employees of Ram & Mc RAE CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS allege that Mr. Ram was in the habit of making overtly sexual remarks and having a sexual relationship with one of his junior staff in the Audit Department.
