AFC will be
KICKED OUT OF THE COALITION FOR 2020
The Cummingsburg Accord is seemingly in jeopardy upon review by APNU, the AFC is likely to be out of the coalition for the 2020 elections.
Someone close to the Coalition Government noted that the PNC now has control of Gecom and there is no need for the AFC, “the AFC did their part”. My information is that the PNC only wanted the AFC in order to win the elections, but now that has been accomplished the PNC will take it from there.
There is rumour that former Prime Minister under Forbes Brunham, Hamilton Green, will take over the Prime Minister’s position, this will be done after reviewing the Accord sometime next year.
Recently, someone has spilled the beans within the AFC camp by releasing sensitive emails, form them advising President Granger about not selecting someone from Jagdeo’s list to not agreeing with Dr. Scotland for Speaker of the House, this is aggravating the President who wanted total control of the government. Can the AFC make an impression?
The question now boggles everyone’s mind, what will become of Moses Nagamootoo and the others if the Accord is not renewed? It is an established fact that Nagamootoo has no major role in the Government, as far as I am concerned, the only thing I hear him pronounced on is broadcasting matters, the same position he held while in the PPP.
The AFC has not taken any solid stance on any matter in the Government, hence, the Canada Chapter pulling out of the party. Many of their supporters are questioning if there is a buyout of the few that are in the Government.
Only today the PNC has discard the AFC’s Trevor Williams and Beverly Alert for Desmond Trotman to replace Sandra Jones at Gecom, a clear indication of no say by AFC in Government.
We will have to wait and see.
Yours truly,
Carl Jones
