African bees born in Africa.  Africanized bees born in Guyana of African ancestry!!!!

These are dogla bees. Dem is black and brown.

According to reports, around 10:30 hrs, the children were engaged in games during the recess period when they were  attacked by the insects in the compound. The bees swarmed the pupils and stung about a dozen of them. Two received multiple stings about their bodies.
Head teacher, Dollice Johnson, became aware of the attack and alerted the other teachers. They immediately exited the building and compound for safety on the roadside.
The pupils that were stung by the bees were taken to the Skeldon Hospital where they received medical attention. They were kept for observations and were later sent home.
Ms Johnson said, “I am well pleased with the support I got from my teachers, the PTA president and even the Mayor of Corriverton. They assisted with the evacuation process and sought medical attention for the pupils.”
However she was unable to say where the bees emerged from.
Region Six Education Officer, Volika Jaikishun, said that as soon as she became aware of the “bees attack” she quickly sent beekeepers to the location.
Kaieteur News understands that there was a previous attack at the school some years back. Teachers and pupils will be informed when it is safe for them to return to school.

Tola, I have one cousin who resides there. I haven't heard anything. I keep in contact maybe once a month. During my time there, Africanised bees were not "invented" yet. The school is next to the cemetery which has some large trees. People in the area have been attacked. Seems like the animals get the brunt of the punishment when the bees attack.
I remember a few years when I was visiting we had some of them on a katahar tree in our back yard. Had to light a "massal" and threw it on an old tire that was sitting there. That smoked them out.

Tola, Why don't you post something on the suicide front rather than these light-spirited clippings?  Are you still on that crusade?  Give us some insights.  The Africanized bees will soon be "phantomized" anyway, but suicide remains!
