It's really sad that after making all that noise the PNC/APNU/AFC opposition now says it will not be pursuing disciplinary measures against Natural Resources Minister Robert Persaud over allegations of malpractice (which originated from within their ranks) in the decision to award geographical and geophysical survey to Muri Brasil Ventures Inc.

Chairperson of the Sectoral Committee on Natural Resources to which Persaud had appeared, Dr Rupert Roopnaraine said yesterday that there is no perceived major violation.

THe deal was denied until exposed. It was also in a ecologically sensitive area. Native peoples did not even know they were about to be open to invasive assaults by machinery. The violation is in the usual secrecy and the obvious quid pro quo between the PPP and the governor in this deal.

The problem with all of these deals is that the PPP should not be doing them without advise a from the a people's committee. The only reason we get these deals which never result in any returns to the state is because the PPP get kickbacks.

None of the mining deals ever bring any return to the state and in lieu of the tax concessions, preferential import duties, lax oversight of employment protocols, they are nothing but leech schemes. Omai worked the land for 20 years and never declared a profit. What are we getting from BOSAI, Barama, etc?

Why aren't they being pursued ?

What are the mechanisms dummy? We cannot get access to any of the records since they are sealed, and hidden under the bed of that crook in the ministry. Yes he is a crook. His ass is another church mice turned fat cat in a few short years. Killing these deals done in secrecy is the only end being sought.

Perhaps, "their hands are deep in the packages" before they are made public.

You do not seem to get it. Why  post this Check? Is t his to suggest that Moses wqas crooked or that he worked for and earned the payment?

The miserable, destitute place that the administration and this sweaty penguin Brazzington is in begs to assume corruption of their adversaries even when it is t heir dealing was involved. Let this punk show us Ifart's seven million dollars check for the property he gained. Why not supply is with the checks of all of the ministers with their dachas in the exclusive neighborhood of Pradoville II?

You are a nasty, rotten, despicable, corrupt lot and one day soon this gorged-fat corrupt penguin will be among the first to see the inside of a jail.
