Guyana will realize the (commencement) benefits of Hydro-electricity in the first term of Donald Ramotar's presidency. I anticipated this project will commence by mid year 2014. Regretfully, we lost time due to political gridlock and disagreements by the opposition. The government, however, will stimulate the work-force to make up for lost time. There are a few items on the president's agenda nearing completion and others to fast forward.

The Amaila Falls project, Marriott Hotel, the CJIA Airport expansion, and the Specialty Hospital…all of which will become a reality under the PPP. Gentlemen, if the PPP government can be able to execute all of this and more, that will put the oppositions in a very odd position with the electorates. This is the motive for the opposition to cripple these benefits to the Guyanese people to secure their own power.

I am asking all patriotic Guyana to support the PPP government and make us realize these dreams. Our government is determined, and we should be able to stand firm in completing these ventures together.

We must avoid distractions and think for ourselves. Guyana has struggled with its people for too long to turn back now. It takes people and government to work together to bring about changes and strengthen our democracy. It also takes a small hole to sink a ship, and people on this board are trying their best to sink the PPP sailing vessel. We must never allow that to happen.

We don't need comedians to take charge of our country. We don't need the reintroduction of the Burnham's doctrine that gave us 28 years of savagery and human suffering. We don't need an opposition who is against the importance of national interest to protect egotistic power. We need a government that can explore every channel in finding ways to fulfill dreams in our nation building.

It starts with determination. We too must embrace determination and make our country stand out to the world.
