Poor people in Guyana used to eat sugar and rice in Guyana during dictatorship eras.
Many of us are now filthy wealthy but are still talking about rice and sugar.
Let me put it this way, the days of rice and sugar are long gone and the only honey left is politicians filling their pockets. Look at the AFC/PNC boys.
PPP boys had their hands deep in the cookie jar but did it so that even the best PNC auditors cannot find a trace. It all vanished.
Rice and sugar workers are the are political footballs in Guyana and unless they grow some ball* and become more competitive, they will not even afford to buy sugar and rice to eat.
PNC reminds me of the days when PNC government workers used to take the Tata Bus to work and were asleep until they reached their destinations where Indos lined up to pay their bribes for basic necessities. Those days of the lazy and sleepy PNC have returned.
PPP is recovering from political defeat but has some of the same players who were playing the same old sugar and rice football games are still kicking the rice and sugar ball.
Guyana needs a real third party, one of independence and honesty. Overseas based Guyanese have the answers and need to start making their moves, TK can lead the movement, Kari and others like Vish etc can also step up to the plate.
Gil, yuji and Mitwah can also join this Overseas based party.
Sugar and Rice anyone ?
